Santa Cruz City officials lifted a ban on water activities early on Friday. The ban on water activities was put in to place last Tuesday after a kayaker experienced an aggressive shark incident near a popular surf spot. The ban was lifted at 9 a.m. Friday morning after several days of monitoring by drone and water patrols showed the waters to be clear of threat.
