A Santa Cruz County Hepatitis A out break could take up to two years to subside. The outbreak of the disease is concentrated in three counties. San Diego, Los Angeles and Santa Cruz and is transmitting through the homeless populations. Hepatitis A is highly contagious and damages the liver. Health officials believe more infections are likely before the outbreak is under control.
