(13:51) SANTA CRUZ- The Santa Cruz harbor has requested a dredging permit extension. The Port District has requested an emergency extension to continue dredging the north harbor until April 30, 2017. Permit regulators include the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, California Coastal Commission, California Water Quality Control Board, and the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Permits for north harbor dredging operation usually end on February 28th each year.
