A Grocery Outlet store will soon be moving into a building in Santa Cruz currently occupied by the U.S. Postal Service. Store officials signed the lease agreement after they say they were approached by the landlord of the building on 120 Morrissey Boulevard. The bargain store is expected to hire 35 employees, and undergo a parking lot remodel to accommodate 94 parking spaces. Grocery Outlet is known for selling brand name surplus inventory at discount prices. This would be the store’s 2nd location in the county, the Watsonville store on Main Street opened in 2010.
