An annual fundraising campaign raised more money this time than last time. Even though there were concerns that there would be less donations due to the pandemic, there were, in fact, more….with 707 thousand dollars raised this time, in comparison to last time’s 413 thousand dollars. The Santa Cruz Gives campaign raises money for local non-profits, and this year the one donated to the most was the Santa Cruz Animal Shelter, which brought in $105,000. The next highest (with $60,000) went to the Coastal Watershed Council.
