The Santa Cruz County Elections Department will be mailing out ballots to eligible voters on Monday addressing the future of Lompico Water. Measure N, if passed, would authorize issue bonds to construct water system improvements, levy an annual special tax on single and multi-service property, as well as establish an appropriations limit equal to the revenue gathered from the special tax. The ballots will be mailed to about 700 eligible voters in the Santa Cruz County Community Facilities District Number 2. All ballots returned by mail must be postmarked no later than Election Day on Tuesday, February 24th.
