(07:40) Santa Cruz – The Santa Cruz County District Attorney’s Office announced a consumer settlement against makers of a tummy tuck belt was made yesterday. Savvier Incorporated sells the “Tummy Tuck Belt” as part of an abdominal slimming system. Savvier agreed to pay over $848,000 in civil penalties and to make an additional $100,000 in restitution to consumer protection, and $120,000 in cost reimbursement to the prosecuting agencies.
