Santa Cruz county homeowners looking to build Accessory Dwelling Units now have more help from county officials. The county released an on-line toolkit that has a cost estimator, guides on design and a geographic information tool that determines if a property is A.D.U. compatible. The county is also looking to roll out financial assistance for homeowners looking to build an A.D.U. The financial aid and toolkit are rolling out, in part, to address the area’s housing crisis.
