A Santa Clara man has been sentenced 180 days in the Monterey County Jail and three years’ probation after he was found guilty of indecent exposure and engaging in lewd conduct at a Salinas fitness center.
33-year-old Joshua Andrew McLaughlin also has to register as a sex offender and stay away from the Creekbridge Fitness Center.
Late on the evening of January 27, McLaughlin went into gym, stripped down to his boxers and went to the jacuzzi and sauna. He reportedly tried to talk to a woman in the sauna, but she felt uncomfortable and went to the locker room to change into her street clothes.
McLaughlin reportedly followed the woman, lowered his boxer shorts and began masturbating while walking toward her. A Salinas police officer responded to a 9-1-1 call and arrested McLaughlin.
