two art pieces were unveiled at a ceremony last night in santa cruz that will be featured at the new national marine sanctuary exploration center. a massive bronze whale tail rising up from a stylized concrete mosaic will be placed near the entrance of the new facility. the piece compliments a 9-foot glass mural along the side of the CENTER, WHICH depicts life under the sea. the national marine sanctuary exploration center is set to open on pacific avenue near the santa cruz municipal wharf on july 23rd.
