Two Monterey County men were arrested today in connection with a series of bank robberies in San Jose and Campbell. Following an investigation into the crimes, evidence was traced to a Salinas-based Norteño street gang. Police served warrants in several counties which led to the arrests of 32-year-old Daniel Chavez of Salinas and 22-year-old Antonio Chavez of Watsonville. A third man from Fresno was also taken into custody. Investigators are currently working to determine if the suspects are behind other bank robberies in California.
