5 homes near san jose state university are being evacuated by san jose firefighters after a vehicle crashed into a house and hit the gas meter. the just after 9 a.m. incident is affecting homes on east saint john street, about 2 blocks north of the university campus. firefighters and other emergency personnel are still on scene, 2 people have been injured.
