San Benito Wants to Go to Reopening Stage 3 05-20-20 17:18 DC

The San Benito County Board of Supervisors wants permission to move to Stage 3 in the reopening process. In a letter to Gov. Gavin Newsom, the county lays out its case to move from Stage 2 to State 3.

The letter to Newsom says, “San Benito County is among one of the lesser populated counties in the State of California, ranked 42nd in population,” It then says, “Our local hospital is operating at a “Green Capacity,” with available beds and ventilators.”

The letter – signed by all members of the San Benito County Board of Supervisors, also explains that the county is working on a plan that would allow more businesses to open while preserving and maintain public health, civil liberties, and the economy.
