A SALINAS WOMAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED AND FOUR PEOPLE HOSPITALIZED FOLLOWING A CAR CRASH SATURDAY. OFFICIALS SAY 49-YEAR-OLD DEBORAH OLENICK WAS TRAVELLING NORTHBOUND ON NORTH MAIN STREET NEAR HARDEN PARKWAY SHORTLY BEFORE 1 PM WHEN SHE VEERED ACROSS THE MEDIAN. OLENICK COLLIDED HEAD-ON WITH AN ONCOMING VEHICLE. THE DRIVER, GUADALUPE AYON, AND HER THREE PASSENGERS, INCLUDING A PREGNANT WOMAN AND A 3-MONTH OLD CHILD, WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT. OLENICK WAS BOOKED INTO MONTEREY COUNTY JAIL ON SUSPICION OF DUI AND BEING A SUSPENDED DRIVER.
