The mother struck with her daughter by a hit and run driver on Tuesday has been identified. 41 year old Bernardina Leon and her 6 year old daughter were thrown over 80 feet from the North Main Street crosswalk they were in, the vehicle involved fled the area. Leon remains in extremely critical condition. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Salinas police.
