Salinas police are investigating a hit-and-run that injured at least two people. Authorities say the first incident occurred near Market Street and Carr Avenue shortly before 10 a-m yesterday (mon). The driver left the scene and a witnesses followed the vehicle driven by 44-year-old Florencio Maldonado who also struck a parked car. Officers were able to stop the car and Maldonado was arrested with a blood alcohol content of more than twice the legal limit. He was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
