A man was shot in salinas this evening, as he drove his car on sanborn road, near del monte avenue. Several shots were fired at the vehicle, at 6:30 p.m. The victim ended up crashing into a tree nearby, at boronda road and falcon drive. He was air-lifted to a bay area trauma center with life-threatening injuries to his torso. No suspects are in custody.
