A man who attempted to rob a Salinas Sears store is now behind bars. Police say 28-year old Carl Lemos was trying to steal several tools from the Northridge Mall department store yesterday. He was confronted by loss prevention employees who tried to arrest him, when Lemos pulled out a pocket-knife and attempted to stab them. He was placed under arrest and was booked into the Monterey County Jail for robbery.
