While Santa Cruz county schools are closing next week… in Salinas school is in session.
The Salinas Union High School District announced sporting events will be suspended until april 15. That applies also to assemblies, school dances, field trips outside Monterey county and staff attending conferences outside Monterey county.
Superintendent Dan Burns said all schools in the district will remain open until a student, teacher or staff member tests positive for the corona virus. So far there have been no confirmed cases in monterey county.
