A Salinas father has been sentenced to 33-years in prison, for an armed robbery he committed almost a year ago. 38-year-old Alejo Alegre the Third was convicted of the robbery of a Salinas convenience store, which he committed with his 16-year-old son. His son was tried as an adult, and was sentenced to 9 years and 8 months in prison. The harsher sentence was imposed on the elder Alegre because he fired his gun into the ceiling of the store during the robbery.
