A robbery was foiled by Salinas police on Sunday. Shortly before 5 p-m, 2 masked men entered Verizon on South Main Street and robbed the business of new phones and cash. The robbers fled to a waiting get away vehicle. A responding patrol vehicle gave chase to the vehicle until it was abandoned near Maple Street. A K-9 officer was deployed and 29 year old Frederick Wright, 18-year-old Daiviuan West, and 19-year-old Letroy Higgins were booked into Monterey County Jail.
