salinas robbery 04/16/12 0630 e.a.
salinas police are investigating a robbery and stabbing in salinas that was reported saturday night. just before 9:30 p.m., a man was walking near an apartment complex on the 2-thousand block of santa rita street, when he was approached by 3 men. one suspect attacked the victim with a knife while another suspect reached into the victim’s pockets and took his money and passport. the victim was able to get the knife away from his attackers, and all 3 robbers fled. police believe the robbery was gang-related.
