A Salinas restaurant convicted of illegal alcohol sales and insurance fraud has been sentenced. 45-year-old Fernando Jimenez Hernandez was found guilty of serving alcohol to 20-year-old Abraham Requena in 2017 who then died in a traffic accident after he left the business. He had an alcohol BAC of .27 over three times the legal limit. Hernandez will spend a year in county jail and complete 5 years felony probation.
