a proposed 2011 supervisorial district map was opposed by salinas city council members yesterday. the city council members are concerned because 4 of the 5 supervisorial districts slice a little bit of the city of salinas out of their districts, leaving salinas residents under represented. a public hearing about the redrawn districts is scheduled for tuesday, july 26th at 1:30 p.m. at the monterey county board of supervisors chambers on west alisal street.
