construction crews are preparing the first phase of a detour for work on the salinas road – highway 1 interchange project. that first phase detour will last about a week, southbound traffic will be routed onto a detour road that has been constructed just west of the highway, northbound traffic will remain on highway 1. the detour is set to begin on august 15th. the interchange project is scheduled to be completed in july of 2013.
