A Salinas man has been sentenced in connection with an April 2017 rape case. Jimmy Alexander was convicted last November for jumping into a the car of a woman in the Chinatown area, then kidnapping, raping , and robbing the victim over an 8 hour period. A jury found Alexander guilty of multiple counts of rape, sodomy and oral copulation all by force. He was also convicted of kidnapping and robbery. On Friday a judge sentenced Alexander to 175 years to life.
