Salinas police are asking the publics help identifying the suspects in a Saturday gang related shooting. The incident took place near the corner of Lupin and Gardenia Streets shortly after 9:30 p.m. when 2 men confronted a 33 year old male about his gang affiliation. 1 of men then produce a handgun and fired, wounding the victim in the lower extremities, the victim was hospitalized and is expected to survive. Anyone with any information on the suspects, both are described as Latino, the shooter is 6 feet tall 280 pounds in a red hoody, and his accomplice is 6 foot 3 in a black hoody, are encouraged to contact Salinas Police.
