A Salinas police officer fired his weapon while breaking up a family disturbance on Saturday. The incident took place on the 8 hundred block of Amarillo Way shortly before 9:30 p-m where officers attempted to break up a fight between 38 year old Juan Mateo and 22 year old Felipe Mateo. No one was injured by the gunfire and both men were taken into custody on multiple charges. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Salinas police.
