A SALINAS MAN WAS INJURED WHEN HIS MOTORCYCLE WAS STRUCK BY A VEHICLE NEAR PRUNEDALE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON (SUN). THE 54-YEAR-OLD MOTORCYCLIST WAS TRAVELLING SOUTHBOUND ON SAN MIGUEL CANYON ROAD WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO TURN ONTO CASTROVILLE BOULEVARD SHORTLY BEFORE 1. THE DRIVER OF A PRIUS COLLIDED WITH THE MOTORCYCLIST WHEN HE FAILED TO SEE HIM TURNING INTO TRAFFIC. THE VICTIM SUSTAINED MAJOR INJURIES AND WAS AIR-LIFTED TO THE SAN JOSE REGIONAL HOSPITAL.
