A Salinas man suspected of molesting a 10-year-old girl Friday night has been arrested. Shortly before 5 p.m., 35-year-old Jorge Cervantes allegedly posed as a Walmart employee offering to help a child. He then assaulted the victim in a store bathroom before she escaped to safety. A search for Cervantes ended when Cervantes turned himself in to Salinas police. He was booked into Monterey County Jail on kidnapping and molestation charges. Bail has been set at $1 million.
