A Salinas man convicted of the November 2016 murder of his parents has been sentenced. 26 year old Ellin Escamilla pled guilty to the bludgeoning deaths of , 65-year-old Amalia Escamilla and 76-year-old Richard Escamilla. U.S. Marshalls apprehended Ellin Escamilla in January 2017 in southern California. On Friday he was sentenced to 30 years to life in state prison.
