A Salinas man has pleaded guilty to driving drunk a little over 16 months ago, and hitting 2 pedestrians on Work Street in Salinas, killing one. 25 year-old Jaime Perez Garcia received a sentence of 14 years in prison for hitting the 2 in March of last year, and then driving away. 39 year-old William Henry (known to many as “Coach Billy”) was declared dead at the scene, and the other pedestrian suffered a broken back, broken ribs, a lacerated liver, and brain bleeding.
Garcia was on probation for a D.U.I. at the time of that accident, and was driving on a Suspended License.
