A 24 year-old Salinas man could face up to 2 years behind bars when he is sentenced next month. Omar Mendez-Sanchez was found guilty of hitting two 9 year-olds with a belt, after one of them hit Mendez-Sanchez with water from a squirt gun while the kids were playing at an apartment complex in Salinas last June.
