An inmate at the Salinas Valley State Prison was fatally stabbed yesterday morning. 23-year-old Luis Manuel Baladez was found lying on his bunk with severe stab wounds around 12:30 a.m. The primary suspect in the stabbing is the victim’s roommate/cellmate 25-year-old Horacio Gonzales. The homicide is currently under investigation.
