The Monterey County DA’s Office announced that a known gang member has been convicted in connection with a jail attack. 31-year-old Juan Antonio Cervantes was found guilty of assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury and street terrorism for the benefit of a street gang. When Cervantes is sentenced it will be as a third strike offender.
