Officials with Salinas Police are asking for help from the public in the hunt for a hit and run suspect.
On Sunday, officers found 45-year-old Channey Ayala laying in the middle of John Street with fatal injuries.
When officers reviewed neighboring surveillance footage, a suspect vehicle was determined.
The suspect vehicle is a White Dodge Ram extended cab made between 1994 and 2002.
