A Salinas man was critically injured by a hit and run driver on Saturday. Shortly before 9 p.m. police and medical personnel responded to reports of a man who had been struck by an SUV while using a crosswalk. The victim was hospitalized in critical condition. Witness accounts of the incident led to the arrest of a suspect in Gilroy shortly before midnight. The suspect is facing multiple felony charges.
