A registered gang member was arrested in Salinas on Sunday afternoon on an arrest warrant. Members of the Salinas Police Violence Suppression Unit stopped Omar Ramirez near Hemingway Drive and Boronda Road for a traffic stop and found an arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for possession of sales of amphetamines and other drug related charges. He was arrested and booked into Monterey County Jail.
