Salinas police are investigating a fatal shooting. At about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, patrol units responded to Klamath Drive and Cascade Way to reports of gunfire. At the scene officers located a male in his 30’s, sitting in a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. Resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Salinas police. The shooting is the city’s 7th homicide to date.
