It’s a race to the finish for the Salinas city council district one seat. Carla Viviana Gonzalez and incumbent Scott Davis are locked in a battle.
Incumbent Davis has 50.2 percent of the vote while Gonzalez has 49.88 percent. Both candidates are long time community members but Gonzalez says she remains hopeful and is proud of the progress her campaign made in the election.
