A suspected car burglar was booked into Monterey County Jail after he was caught breaking a car window with a hammer over the weekend in Salinas. Police responded to a 9-1-1 call of a suspicious man in the parking lot of an apartment building on the 100 block of Hacienda Place just before 4 a.m. Saturday and arrested 24-year old Arturo Alcaraz for attempted burglary.
