2-people suffered major internal injuries in a salinas car accident on Saturday. A car and an s.u.v collided at independence and constitution boulevards, just before 11 a.m. an 11-year-old-girl and a 62-year-old-woman were airlifted to a bay area hospital in critical condition. Both victims were passengers in the car. the driver of the car and the driver of the s.u.v were not reportedly injured. Salinas police reported that drugs or alcohol do not appear to have been a factor. Both drivers claim that they had a green light. The accident remains under investigation.
