A man was assaulted with a baseball bat early Sunday morning on salinas’ east alisal street during an attempted robbery. the victim reported that he was walking near the corner of north sanborn road when he was approached by 2-men. the suspects demanded the victim’s money, but when he told them he didn’t have any, they used a baseball bat to beat the victim.
