A 6-YEAR OLD GIRL WAS AIR-LIFTED TO A BAY AREA TRAUMA CENTER AFTER BEING STRUCK BY A FELONY HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER LAST NIGHT IN SALINAS. AUTHORITIES SAY A 34-YEAR OLD MOTHER AND HER TWO DAUGHTERS WERE CROSSING EAST MARKET STREET AT CENTER JUST AFTER 6:30, WHEN A WOMAN DRIVING A WHITE HONDA HIT THE LITTLE GIRL. THE GIRL REPORTEDLY BOUNCED OFF OF THE CAR’S HOOD AS THE VEHICLE CONTINUED WESTBOUND ON EAST MARKET. WITNESSES SAY THE DRIVER NEVER SLOWED DOWN.
