Salinas police are investigating the city’s 11th homicide of the year. Shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday the departments shot spotter system alerted patrol units of a shooting at East Lake and Bridge Street in the Chinatown area. Arriving officers located a 61 year old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Salinas police.
