An Irwindale-based food company has recall some 42-hundred bags of spinach salad after E.Coli was found in a random test sample. A spokesperson for Ready Pac Foods Incorporated said yesterday (thurs) that no illnesses have been reported in connection with the Spinach Temptations line, a 6-ounce bagged salad that is being recalled. So far, 702 cases of the salad mix, each containing 6 bags, were recalled Wednesday night. The action applies to bags sld in Caloifornia, Washington and Arizona with a July 4th use by date and product code i-1-7-0-7-B and i-R-1-2-7-1-2-1 and to products with a july 8th use by date and code i 1 2 0 0 7 b, and i-r-1-3-0-3 7 3.
