The search for a new chief of the salinas police department has been narrowed to 3 candidates. Salinas city manager ray corpuz is expected to interview the 3 Tuesday. the finalists are salinas’ deputy police chief Kelly mcmillin, marina police chief edmundo Rodriguez, and chief of the port hueneme police department, Kathleen ann Sheehan. the 3 are looking to lead a department that is facing a deadly year in the city. 9-homicides have been recorded in salinas this year.
