A Salinas neighborhood was reopened this afternoon, after a number of homes were evacuated. The evacuation was carried out after an incident occurred during this morning’s investigation of an attempted robbery. That’s when a woman threatened to kill herself when she saw Salinas police officers in the area of Lenny Street near Cleveland Avenue. The woman was coaxed away from her vehicle, and taken to an area hospital for an evaluation. The neighborhood was reopened a short time later.
