10-people were displaced from their homes in south Salinas, following a fire at a duplex. Salinas firefighters responded to a report of a fire at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, at a shed on the 4-hundred block of Bellmont Drive. The flames spread to the duplex, which suffered severe damage before the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported in the blaze. The cause is under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents. Portions of Davis Road and Acacia street were closed during the incident.
