the salinas city council has signaled its support of placing as many as 3 separate tax measures on the city’s november ballot. a study session was held this week, to review the measures, but no formal vote was taken. a renewal of measure v, a modification of the city’s utilities tax, and a new tax to fund capital projects were RECOMMENDED by the city council to be placed the voting public in the fall. a final decision on the 3 ballot items is expected to be reached sometime in early summer.
